Mark your freaking calendars!

I haven't been this excited about something since the last time I caulked the tub.

Wern is hosting some of us Twin Cities folks for the Internation Beer Festival in Peoria, IL. There is a special event Friday night and beer tasting all weekend. Color me inebriated (and pretty pumped to find some new microbrews).

Science Toys

Not planning on having kids anytime soon, but I am somewhat of a child myself, so this site is still fairly relevant.

What a day...

Well, Jess and I finally managed to move completely out of our apartment and into our new house. It feels nice to not have to go back there any time soon. Other highlights of the day included returning some movies overdue and trying to see if I could belch into a bottle then open it a few hours later and still smell what I had for lunch. The answer is "no, I can't".

The Wedding Present: Take Fountain (2005): Reviews

You know, Metacritic is quickly becoming one of my favorite review sites. And the Wedding Present is a pretty svelte band.

Damn... beaten to the punch...

So, I've always wanted to take my own handwriting and turn it into a font. These guys will do it for you, for only nine bucks, which is nice. But here's where my idea would be better... you make 10 different templates of your handwriting then write a program that randomly chooses the letter you typed from one of those templates. This generates the sense of variance most associated with handwritten things. If anyone knows how to code in something like that, let me know.

Note to self...

Buy more of the Rapala/Beer Mug combinations at Menards.

You know what I'm not good at?

Staying up late enough to get a chance at picking up pretty much anything on woot. Sure, some of it is terrible tripe, but some of it is pretty darn flickle. Yep, I said "darn" alright.

By the by, the bizzaro wedding planning is going rather well. We are thinking about bringing in Rainbow (with Ronnie James Dio) for the wedding band.

Deep freeze!

Daily Game

Here's a daily game. Also, apparently the Low show last night was stellar. And the upcoming Modest Mouse show has Mason Jennings opening for them. I am fairly sure the one known only as "el Jim" will be going to that.

If you're bored you should check out Peasant's Quest... the movie

Deutschlanders leibt SEMs...

Those crazy Germans love their SEM imaging action over there. The pictures are pretty, but they are also not that difficult to make. I would be more impressed with higher resolution images.

I'll take a half Gang Starr with extra Vandaley please.

Guru has a nifty little ditty out called "Respect the Architect". I most certainly do, especially when said architects have promised to design me a climbing wall.

Yarrgh...

You know what I hate about computers? Keeping them up to date. So you don't get the online version of the clap. Oh, I also hate too-short backspace keys.

I have also come up with the greatest CD swap-o-mania title to date. It's gonna be swass.

Hey dudes... let's walk this sucka.

Anyone up for some food and wine?

I am thinking of heading out to the food and wine show the Sunday of
that weekend, or possibly the Friday. But definitely not that
Saturday, as I have plans. So there.

Guess that question is now solved. Oh, and by the by, I'm back. By now, I am sure everyone is used to me ditching out for the last ten days of the month or so. It's kind of like a mini-bizzarro vacation. Oh, and I'm planning a bizzarro wedding for September 10th, and everyone but Hoj is invited.  Posted by Hello
